During this period the North Esk river level fluctuated between 5 and 6 inches on the Logie marker. The South Esk from 6 to 8 inches on the Brechin marker. Reported temperatures ranged from 38 F to 44 F.
Three salmon were reported caught: one on Canterland at 14lb on a yellow shrimp fly by Mr G Gall; two on Pert – 8lb on a Pert shrimp tube, by Mr C Corman and 9lb on a posh tosh, by Mr G Watson.
Next week the forecast is for snow on the top of the hills in the upper catchments and some periods of rain throughout the entire district. This should keep the rivers in good fishing conditions for the week ahead.
